Welcome to The Freedom Line.

My name is Viktor. I’m from Ukraine, and this is my second journal.

This one was born from fire, lit not just by what’s happening in Ukraine, but by what’s happening in America, too.

Because I see something connecting us.

A shared refusal.

A belief that democracy isn’t just a word, but a line we hold.

The Freedom Line is about that line.

The one between dignity and surrender.

Between truth and propaganda. Between silence and courage.

I launched this space in June 2025, after watching millions of Americans stand up against tyranny in their own country. What I saw felt like a mirror of everything my country has been fighting for since 2014.

So I decided to speak here, too.

If you’re here, it means you care.

About freedom. About justice. About people.

And that’s all I need to keep writing.

All posts are open and public, just like in my other journal. I won’t put stories behind a paywall. But if you want to support this work, you can also become a paid subscriber here. That support helps me write more, write deeper, and hold this line with you longer.

Here, you’ll find stories that don’t just report what’s happening.

They ask what it means.

And what we’re going to do about it.

Welcome to the line. I’m grateful you’re here.
