Your saturation is real. You feel it.
And it’s not just with me. Not just with this voice.
You feel it when you look at your own country.
When you see the next rally, the next indictment, the next lie.
When you still care, but it doesn’t hit as hard.
It’s tempting to stop. Or slow down.
Or try to feel something the old way.
I can feel the predictability in my own voice. Even I can hear myself before I finish the sentence.
I’ve written through bombs. Through victory days. Through betrayal. But I don’t remember to have written through apathy.
Until now.
Maybe this sounds familiar.
You went to the rally. You posted the flag. You shouted until your throat hurt.
And now it’s all happening again, and you don’t know how to keep caring with the same force.
The signs are still out. The sirens still ring, but inside, something is starting to go quieter.
Without guilt. Without blame. Only recognition.
You're tired. So am I.
And the worst of all is that they’re counting on that.
We think we lose when the tanks arrive, but we really lose when people stop caring.
That’s when the deals happen, when the borders shift, the constitutions get rewritten.
The backroom deals. The shifting maps.
The headlines that stop using names.
This is why I’m still writing here.
Not to inspire you, but to make forgetting a little harder.
To remember democracy and freedom are so essential as the air we breathe.
To help hold memory in place for one more day.
And so you are here.
You’re not just resisting power. You’re resisting forgetfulness
You will never say that you turned away when things got quieter.
You stayed.
It isn’t about how loud you are or how furious.
It’s the decision to keep your eyes open when it would be much easier and more comfortable to let them close.
That’s what holds the line.

If you feel this, don’t keep it inside. Please carry it forward and share this piece with someone who refuses to kneel. Speak to one friend today who feels alone and remind them they’re not. And don’t forget to subscribe to make this line really strong.
Some of us can't stop. Believe me, even when I try to take a day off, some new outrage draws me back. We can't comply, we can't capitulate, we can't turn away. Personally, my God won't allow me to accept such blatant inhumanity without a whimper. It's a duty to bear witness. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦 🙏🙏🙏
It is very hard work keeping a resistance alive. People get tired and just fall into line eventually… as you say, that’s what they count on.
But this is different. America and much of the free world faces the total loss of not only freedom, but often life itself.
I have said many times that Ukraine🇺🇦 doesn’t have the luxury of surrender or apathy. Putin is glorifying Stalin, a man who a generation ago murdered millions of Ukrainians.
The world has allowed genocide in Gaza and this has emboldened the evil, power-hungry authoritarian leaders of the world to add that to their bag of tools.
We can’t allow battle fatigue to cause surrender! Not in Ukraine, not in America, Canada, EU…. Not anywhere because letting evil go unchecked will make this world hell.
